As our elected officials continue to seek a resolution to the current government shutdown, we’re standing alongside our neighbors whose paychecks are on hold. By partnering with local agencies directly, we’ve expanded our capacity to ensure affected employees have access to essential resources, fresh food, and the community connections that matter most in challenging times. We are continuing to monitor the situation and plan accordingly, should the shutdown extend beyond the immediate future.

Feeding Tampa Bay is ready to support our neighbors affected by these circumstances and we need your support. Below are shifts set up sepcifcally to support federal employees in need during this time. If you'd like to volunteer - sign up below! 

 

The Market at Causeway Center - Sign Up Here

Neighbors will shop inside The Market and volunteers will assist with selecting and packaging groceries and helping neighbors to their car. Volunteers may also assist with directing traffic, stocking and quality checking food, checking in neighbors and assisting with any other necessary tasks. Some lifting will be required of able-bodied volunteers.

Feeding Pinellas On-site Pantry - Sign Up Here

Feeding Pinellas welcomes the community into their free on-site food pantry each Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Volunteers will be responsible for assisting guests throughout their shopping experience- check in/paperwork, restocking shelves, shopping assistance, line management, etc.
