Since the shutdown began, we have been providing specialized support to federal employees impacted by the loss of income. Now, we are preparing for the potential loss of SNAP benefits which will impact nearly 250,000 households and nearly half a million people in the 10-county area we serve. Working with our 400+ partner network, we will be staging distributions across our region to provide as much support as possible — but we need your help. Together, we can help all of the families in need of support.
Below are shifts set up specifically set up in response to the government shutdown, if you'd like to volunteer - sign up below!
Food Distributions
Join us in providing essential support to neighbors impacted by the government shutdown. Volunteers will assist in the quality assurance, packing, and distribution of vital groceries in a drive-through setup. Some may be asked to help with traffic management. This is a standing role that may involve lifting up to 10 pounds.
