Mega & Mobile Pantry Volunteer Opportunities
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Mobile and Mega pantries bring nutritious foods to “food deserts” – areas where quality, affordable foods are lacking. A refrigerated truck delivers fresh food directly to neighborhoods in need. Help our staff set-up and break down the mobile pantry site as well as pack boxes of food, direct traffic and directly hand out to our neighbors in need.
BEFORE ARRIVING:
ALL volunteers MUST wear closed-toe shoes (i.e. sneakers) for warehouse safety. Volunteers wearing open-toe shoes will not be allowed to volunteer. Recommended attire includes shirts with sleeves (no tank-tops), and jeans or shorts of appropriate length. This is an OUTDOOR & OFF-SITE ACTIVITY. The suggested minimum age for this activity is 13+ with an adult.
