Regarding Trinity Cafe Busch
After 8 years proudly serving the neighborhood at Trinity Cafe Busch, we will be closing our service at this location with a newer vision in mind. The time has come to approach services differently, building a service model that feeds long-term solutions and leads to the financial stability every person and family deserves.
This change is not made without strong consideration for the individuals it impacts and the other service options nearby. We make this change only with confidence that no gap is left. We know that throughout the past 8 years, you as a volunteer have served not only meals to our neighbors, but a unique experience for human connection. We cannot thank you enough for your time offered to us and our neighbors, and hope you will continue your journey as a volunteer with us in other capacities.
The final day of dine-in service at Trinity Cafe Busch will be Friday, September 6th. We will continue serving to-go meals to our neighbors until September 20th, opportunities to support those efforts will be made available on the Volunteer Calendar within the next few days.
WHAT TO EXPECT
At Trinity Cafe we serve our guests a nutritious hot sit-down hot meal. Volunteers will assume the role of restaurant “wait staff” including serving tables, bussing tables, hosting tables, and other restaurant tasks. A handful of volunteers will be assigned to assist in the outdoor drive-thru distribution.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
ALL volunteers MUST wear closed-toe shoes (i.e. sneakers). Volunteers wearing open-toe shoes will not be allowed to volunteer. Appropriate attire includes shirts with sleeves (no tank-tops), and jeans or shorts of appropriate length.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
The minimum age to volunteer at Trinity Cafe is 16 years old regardless of adult supervision.
Court-ordered hours are NOT ACCEPTED for this opportunity.
