Publix Community Market On-Site Pantry AM
WHAT TO EXPECT:
In response to COVID-19, we will not be having any shoppers in the Community Market. Volunteers will help pre-pack boxes of assortment of refrigerated and frozen goods in the Community Market, transport them to the front of the warehouse, and serve our clients in a new outdoor setting, in order to minimize the number of people in our warehouse. Some lifting will be required of able-bodied volunteers.
STARTING IN JULY: Clients will begin shopping inside the Community Market once again. Volunteers will assist with selecting and packaging groceries and helping clients to their car.
BEFORE ARRIVING:
ALL volunteers MUST wear closed-toe shoes (i.e. sneakers) for warehouse safety. Volunteers wearing open-toe shoes will not be allowed to volunteer. Recommended attire includes shirts with sleeves (no tank-tops), and jeans or shorts of appropriate length.
